Societal expectations in terms of sustainable development, overall transparency, and responsibility have evolved over time. With increasingly-strict legislation being passed, dizzying worry over the environment and the misuse of its resources or mismanagement of its waste has grown, and fears related to climate change or the loss of biodiversity further complicate matters.

ECOVIREA is a company that specializes in the recovery of oleic byproducts, either fat or animal in nature, destined for the biofuel industry. It is our very purpose to meet growing national and international demand while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
A CLEAR GOAL
Our goal is to drastically reduce emissions during our production process and to reduce consumption of fossil fuels and electricity. In order to achieve this goal, energy efficiency measures have been applied, such as a biomass water heater, allowing us to eliminate diesel consumption, thus eliminating emissions of its derivatives.
ADDED VALUE
An exhaustive separation of the waste residue and recyclable materials generated as a result of our business operations, such as plastic, glass and cardboard, are transported to recycling plants.
Residual waste water from processing is taken to external anaerobic management plants in which biogas and bio-methane are produced, causing a further reduction to cost (had it been sent to a wastewater treatment plant) and a contribution to a reduction in natural gas combustion emissions.
